" QUITO Tyler Lydon Jersey , Aug. 17 (Xinhua) -- Leaders from Ecuador's ruling PAIS Alliance (AP) will travel to Belgium to meet with former president and AP founder, Rafael Correa, as a bitter rift has separated him from his successor, President Lenin Moreno.
The announcement was made Thursday by Ricardo Patino, a former advisor to Correa, who told the press that he will travel with Gabriela Rivadeneira Trey Lyles Jersey , former president of the National Assembly and current executive secretary of the AP.
""We will seek the greatest rapprochement possible (between Correa and Moreno) given the situation we have, as we know it is very serious and delicate,"" said Patino after an AP meeting in Quito.
He indicated that Moreno is aware of the planned meeting with Correa in Belgium, where the former president now lives with his Belgian wife.
Correa has been passionately angry about Moreno's decision to seek consensus with the opposition, going as far as to call Moreno's decisions as ""mediocre"" and ""disloyal.""
Moreno, who was Correa's vice-president between 2007 and 2013 Thomas Welsh Jersey , began his term in office from May with a vast and wide-ranging dialogue with the opposition, seeking to ""reconcile the country.""
In July, Correa fired back, stating that ""dialogue is welcome but you have to know who you are sitting down with at the table and not dialogue with those who looted Ecuador.""
