BARCELONA, April 30 (Xinhua) -- Rafael Nadal regained his dominance on his favorite clay court with his 10th Barcelona Open title here on Sunday.


The Spaniard defeated fourth seed Austrian Dominic Thiem 6-4, 6-1 in the final to lift the trophy, just one week after his 10th victory at the Monte Carlo Masters.


The 14-time Grand Slam champion met some resistance in the beginning from Thiem, who surprised world No. 1 Andy Murray in Saturday's semifinals.


But Nadal took control in the second set with watertight defences and wrapped up the match in just over 90 minutes.

RIO DE JANEIRO， June 20 (Xinhua) -- Tite said he will seek to bring back "joy" to Brazilian football after being officially named coach of the struggling national team on Monday.


The 57-year-old former Corinthians boss， whose full name is Adenor Bacchi， told a packed press conference in Rio de Janeiro that he was overcome with emotion at having fulfilled a "lifelong dream".


"I called my mum this morning and told her， 'Your son is the coach of Brazil's national football team'，" Tite said.


"She cried and gave me her blessing. Today somebody at the airport said to me that there are 200 million people supporting me. It makes my legs shake when I think about it. Even now I can really believe what is happening."


Tite replaces Brazil's 1994 World Cup-winning captain Dunga， who was sacked after the Selecao's group-stage elimination from the Copa America last week.


Of more concern than the team's early exit in the US， according to Tite， is Brazil's listless form in the 2018 World Cup qualifiers.
